The Beatles – Hey Jude (Japan) promotional 1968 red vinyl white label edition on Odeon OR-2121, mono 7" 45 rpm, VG+ sleeve and VG+ vinyl, released in Japan in 1968.
Description from the seller
A fantastic and highly collectible original Japanese promotional pressing of The Beatles' legendary 1968 single Hey Jude, backed with Revolution. Released by Odeon under catalogue number OR-2121, this exceptional edition combines the beautiful Japanese red vinyl with the much scarcer white promotional labels. Unlike the regular commercial pressing, this special promotional edition was manufactured for distribution to radio stations and the Japanese music industry. The distinctive white Odeon labels feature red perimeter lettering and unique black typography, giving this pressing a particularly fascinating appearance. An interesting detail is the release date printed on the promotional labels: 9/10 (September 10, 1968), four days before the official Japanese release on September 14. A wonderful piece of Beatles history from one of the band's most celebrated periods.
⸻
Sleeve (VG+):
The sleeve shows some light creasing and minor wear consistent with careful use, but remains nicely preserved overall and highly presentable → VG+
Vinyl (VG+):
The red vinyl is beautiful and glossy, displaying only light signs of playwear with no major marks or issues. Playback is strong and enjoyable throughout → VG+
