Description from the seller
Original 1979 UK pressing of The Cramps' Gravest Hits on Illegal Records (ILS 12013). This 5-track 12" EP stands as one of the key early releases in The Cramps' catalogue, collecting recordings made at Ardent Studios in Memphis in October 1977 and produced by Alex Chilton. The EP features "Human Fly," "The Way I Walk," "Domino," "Surfin' Bird" and "Lonesome Town"—a snapshot of the band at their rawest, mixing primitive rock 'n' roll, rockabilly, garage and punk into the sound that would become closely associated with early psychobilly. The iconic black-and-white sleeve captures the band's uncompromising aesthetic perfectly.
⸻
Sleeve (VG+):
The original black-and-white sleeve remains very presentable with some visible ringwear together with normal light signs of age and handling. The artwork itself remains clean and attractive overall, grading a strong VG+.
Vinyl (VG+):
The vinyl retains a nice original gloss and remains clean overall. Some superficial marks and light hairlines are visible under light, but nothing particularly heavy or distracting. A solid and attractive VG+ copy.
