Buzzcocks, Another Music In A Different Kitchen, UK first pressing (1978) with corrected A-2U/B-2U cut, PORKY/PECKO runout etchings, EX vinyl and VG+ sleeve, United Artists UAG 30159, includes original inner sleeve.
Description from the seller
Early UK pressing of Buzzcocks' landmark debut Another Music In A Different Kitchen, released in 1978 on United Artists Records under catalogue number UAG 30159. This is the second version with the corrected A-2U / B-2U cut, following the original pressing. A key distinguishing feature of this variant is the removal of the Rights Society "MCPS" credit from tracks A1, A3 and A5 compared with the first pressing—a pressing detail that marks the evolution of the release in its initial run.
The runouts on this copy are particularly notable, combining stamped matrix information with the celebrated hand-etched mastering messages associated with George "Porky" Peckham, the mastering engineer whose distinctive inscriptions appear on many highly regarded UK punk and rock releases of the era. Side A reads "AHHH A PORKY PRIME CUT" and Side B reads "HMMM PECKO"—signatures that have become sought-after markers of early British punk releases. The album itself was recorded and mixed at Olympic Studios during December 1977 and January 1978, capturing Buzzcocks during the first great wave of British punk, and contains essential early material including "Fast Cars," "No Reply," "You Tear Me Up," "I Don't Mind," "Love Battery" and "Moving Away From The Pulsebeat."
⸻
Sleeve (VG+):
The original sleeve presents extremely well, very close to an EX grade, with only light signs of age and handling. The cover remains clean and sharp, and the overall presentation is highly attractive.
Inner Sleeve:
Original black cardboard inner sleeve included.
Vinyl (EX):
The vinyl is in excellent condition, retaining a strong original shine with only minimal signs of previous play. A particularly clean example throughout.
