Description from the seller
This refined pair of Japanese bronze vases, dating from the Meiji Period (late 19th – early 20th century), stands out for its rich high-relief decoration with traditional motifs. Each piece features a bulbous body with a flared base and a wide goblet neck, enhanced by the sculptural figure of a dragon that sinuously envelops the surface between incised swirls and waves in meticulous detail. On the bases of both vases there is also a characteristic rectangular seal engraved with traditional characters, a distinctive signature of the craftsman.
Dimensions each: 37 x 20 x 20 cm
The vases are in generally good condition, while showing the usual signs of time and age. There may be slight superficial imperfections, small signs of wear, patina fully compatible with the age and craftsmanship of the object.
Bidders are invited to examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description; the piece viewed in the images will be the same one that will be delivered to your home!
Tracked shipping including secure packaging; any duties and customs taxes will be borne by the buyer.
