Antonio Ariza - - Flamenco guitar - Spain (No reserve price)

Antonio Ariza Flamenco Guitar – 1970s – Spruce & Maple – A Great Opportunity for Flamenco Players!

A beautiful vintage Spanish flamenco guitar with plenty of character, a lively sound and excellent playability!

This Antonio Ariza flamenco guitar, believed to date from the 1970s, represents an interesting opportunity for anyone looking for an authentic Spanish instrument at an attractive auction price.

Built with a spruce top and maple back and sides, this guitar offers the bright, direct and responsive character traditionally associated with flamenco guitars. The combination of these tonewoods produces a clear, lively voice with crisp trebles, a warm bass response and the quick attack that flamenco players appreciate.

One of the highlights of this instrument is its excellent playability. With a comfortable, low string action, the guitar is easy to play and responds beautifully to both delicate passages and more energetic flamenco techniques.

The guitar features a traditional 650 mm scale length and a 52 mm nut width.

Condition and Repairs

This is a vintage instrument that has seen considerable use over the decades.

The guitar has undergone several repairs in the past. While these repairs are stable, they have not been carried out to a professional standard. The bridge is not original to the guitar. A tap plate has been removed.

Importantly, the guitar is structurally stable and fully playable in its present condition. It can be enjoyed exactly as it is, without any work being necessary. However, a future owner may choose to have some of the previous repairs improved professionally, particularly for cosmetic reasons or to achieve a higher standard of restoration.

We want to be completely transparent about the condition of this instrument, which is precisely why we have decided to offer it here at auction rather than through our regular retail catalogue.

An Interesting Opportunity at Auction

Antonio Ariza guitars are advertised for prices around €2,500, depending on the model, age and condition.

Naturally, this particular example should be considered in light of its previous repairs. Nevertheless, it offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a genuine vintage Spanish flamenco guitar at a potentially very attractive auction price.

For a flamenco enthusiast looking for an affordable vintage instrument with authentic character, comfortable playability and the potential for further improvement, this Antonio Ariza is certainly worth considering.

A guitar with history, personality and plenty of music still waiting to be played!
