Characteristic composition of Alechinsky's graphic universe: on a dark brown-black background unfolds a red-orange serpentine form, accompanied by white and blue gestural motifs and a side band in ochre.
This lithograph was specially printed to accompany the first 100 copies of the Louisiana edition. Its exact title, Serpent fumée, is explicitly mentioned in the edition’s justification.
