Description from the seller
We present at auction an elegant Colibri-branded lighter, a classic-fascination accessory ideal for collectors and connoisseurs of fine objects.
The lighter's body features a rectangular, sleek line, entirely made of metal with a silver finish. The entire surface of the body and the upper cap is embellished with refined guilloché work with a dense diamond-point motif, a geometric texture that, besides providing an excellent tactile grip, creates a pleasant and bright play of reflections. On the side stands out the actuation mechanism, characterized by a solid cylindrical roller decorated with deep vertical grooves.
By lifting the cap, one can appreciate the attention to detail of the internal ignition block, on whose side a small decorative heraldic emblem is finely engraved. On the back of the device are clearly visible the Colibri brand engraving accompanied by an additional squared logo, the circular refill valve, and the maintenance screw.
The conservation state of this specimen is assessable as generally good both aesthetically and mechanically. Technically, the lighter has been tested and the mechanism is functioning; however, for obvious safety reasons related to transport, the item is sold and shipped unloaded, i.e., completely gas-free inside. Aesthetically, as documented in the close-up photographs, there are slight and physiological signs deriving from normal prior use, including some micro-scratches on the smooth metal and light traces of oxidation or localized residues near the internal block and on the back.
