Imperial Almanac for the Year M.DCCC. X (1810) Presented to His Majesty the Emperor and King.

The “Imperial Almanac for the Year...” (Kaiserlicher Almanach für das Jahr...) is the official state and administrative handbook of the French Empire. It represents one of the most important primary sources for historians studying the Napoleonic era (First Empire) and the later Second Empire under Napoleon III.

It provides the imperial authorities with a day-to-day, bureaucratic overview of the entire empire:
- The Imperial Court: genealogies and alliances of the European ruling princely houses as well as the composition of the imperial household (Maison de l'Empereur).

- Military and Navy: rank- and seniority lists of the Imperial Guard (Garde impériale), the line regiments, marshals and generals.

- Civil administration: complete lists of all ministries, the Senate, the prefects and sub-prefects of the French departments (including the annexed territories such as parts of Italy and Germany)

- Culture & Justice: lists of members of the National Institute of Sciences and Arts, of the universities, courts as well as holders of the Legion of Honour (Légion d'honneur)

The original volumes from the time of Napoleon I are today highly sought-after collectibles.
