Materials: Polished black resin on the body and grip, caps and rings gold-plated with fine longitudinal ridges, gold clip with the characteristic white dot of Sheaffer, 14-karat gold nib and gold-toned conical tip on the pencil. The pen retains the rear knurled knob of the Sheaffer pneumatic filling system (Touchdown/Snorkel type) and the body engraving "W. A. SHEAFFER PEN CO."; the pencil is twist-activated and retains the lead.
Condition: Very good overall preservation in both pieces. The gold caps appear bright with no noticeable wear to the plating, only micro-scratches from age; the black body retains good shine, with minor signs of use and the barrel engraving somewhat worn by rubbing. The nib appears aligned and undented, the pen section slightly discolored to a brownish tone with time. The pencil functions and the lead is set. Vintage pieces not workshop-tested: a service of the charging system is recommended before regular use.
Accessories: Comes with its original Sheaffer rigid box, lined in light satin with the logo "SHEAFFER'S" printed on the inside of the lid (the satin shows stains and yellowing due to age). No papers, certificate, or warranty card are visible in the photos, so this is not a full set: a two-piece set with original box only."
