Description from the seller

Made entirely by hand, this necklace is a small masterpiece of craftsmanship: a three-dimensional flower that blooms at the center of two thin threads of red seed beads.

The flower is built on a hand-shaped wire frame, on which dozens of faceted glass beads are strung one by one. Each bead is streaked with bright red, meadow green, amber and blue-gray, and its facets catch the light with changing reflections. The wire gives shape to wavy, irregular petals, which make the flower lively and never the same from any angle.

At the center shines a red Murano glass bead with embedded aventurine: tiny copper crystals that glitter like gold dust beneath the glass. Aventurine is one of the oldest and most precious specialties of Venice.

The two red seed-bead threads meet at the ends in two golden beads and fasten with a lobster clasp. The extension chain, finished with a deep red garnet crystal, allows length adjustment.

The princess length places the flower right at the base of the neck, where its volume and reflections show best, even with a simple neckline or a solid-color dress. A striking piece, perfect for evenings, parties and special occasions, or to give character to a simple look.

Each flower is unique: the shape of the petals and the arrangement of the beads change from piece to piece, because they are built entirely by hand.

Seller's Story

Hi, I'm the founder of Bottega Isola. I was born and raised on Murano, and glass runs in my family: I grew up around the furnaces, surrounded by a craft my family has carried for generations. I've always been drawn to design and to handmade, one-of-a-kind objects, the kind that make memorable gifts for any occasion. Inspired by many cultures and design styles but rooted in my island's tradition, I create and select pieces that carry the history of Murano glass into today's homes and spaces. Nothing here is chosen at random. Most designs go through several trials before they're just right, and each one has to bring something to the space it lives in, whether that's purpose, character or atmosphere. Every piece is handmade on Murano by some of the island's most skilled glass masters, using techniques passed down for centuries. Each one comes with a certificate of authenticity and is carefully hand-packed in professional, glass-safe packaging, so it reaches you safely wherever you are.
