Description from the seller
Acrylic painting on canvas created by GuidoPajetta in the early eighties. It portrays the image of a female figure with her son, described in a kind of metaphysical silence. The work represents the final phase of the painter's artistic experience, in which color and the deconstruction of the image reach full maturity. The painting bears a certificate of authenticity from the Archivio Guido Pajetta managed by his son Giorgio.
Guido Pajetta is recognized by critics as one of the most significant artists of the twentieth century for having traversed the century, crossing movements and high-profile personalities in Italy and abroad - Italian Novecento, Sironi, De Chirico, Surrealism, Chiarismo, Post-Impressionism, Fontana, etc. - in search of a continuity and a synthesis between the Veneto nineteenth-century painting of his family (his grandfather Paolo, uncles Pietro and Mariano and cousin Mario) and Modernity.
