This luxurious pen is a special edition from the Montblanc Great Characters collection and bears the name Homage to The Great Gatsby. It is an homage to the famous novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald and to the Jazz Age of the 1920s.
• Body and cap: Made from high-quality resin in dark blue and black. The distinctive surface texture, with its vertical lines, evokes the illuminated façades of New York skyscrapers at night.
• Clip: The platinum-plated clip is modeled after a bill clip and symbolizes the apparent power of money in the novel.
• Monogram: In the upper area of the clip there is an oval opening in which the gold-colored, geometrical monogram “JG” for Jay Gatsby in the Art Deco style can be seen.
• Cap head: The famous Montblanc emblem consists of luminescent resin that glows green in the dark. It symbolically recalls the legendary “green light” at Daisy's dock.
• End piece: The platinum-plated end piece is modeled after the engraved screw cap of a flask typical of that era. Fine rings in the colors of the American flag complete the design.
