Parker 105 Flighter fountain pen, made in the United States in the mid-20th century, in good used condition with a 13 cm length and 1.5 cm diameter, finished in .585 gold, and in working order.
Description from the seller
The Parker 105 Flighter was launched in 1980 and was discontinued in 1982, a very short production run for Parker, but good news for collectors. This pen carries a date code corresponding to the first quarter of 1981.
The Parker 105, available in the Flighter finishes of brushed steel and gold plating, was very different from Parker’s previous models, perhaps too much, as it did not enjoy much commercial success at the time. It is a pen with very square and clean lines, with a redesigned clip in the shape of an arrow with a spring. The three integrated tabs in the steel section also have a spring. The pen is very well designed and clearly it was conceived from scratch, rather than as a modification of previous models.
The fountain pen is in excellent condition, with no signs of use, although it has been filled with ink to test it. The octanium nib writes with a very smooth medium line.
The Parker 105 Flighter is a high-quality pen with a peculiar touch. It is a rare pen and highly sought after by collectors, much more difficult to find than the gold-plated version.
