Description from the seller
Solar Aqua Deep Bay Bronze Burgundy – Ref. SA0030.0003
Solar Aqua is a relatively young name in its modern form, but the brand draws on a much older watchmaking heritage dating back to the early 1900s. Its modern watches are developed around the idea of combining Swiss mechanical watchmaking with the spirit of adventure and extreme environments.
The Deep Bay is the most distinctive expression of that philosophy. The model takes its name from Baffin Bay in the Arctic, between Baffin Island and Greenland. Solar Aqua developed the Deep Bay around the extreme conditions associated with this environment, with a certified water resistance of 2,136 metres, corresponding to 213.6 ATM. The number 2136 is also prominently indicated on the dial.
Reference SA0030.0003 is the Burgundy version of the Deep Bay Bronze. The 45 mm brushed bronze case is combined with a dark burgundy dial, black ceramic bezel insert and black high-end silicone strap. The bronze gives the watch a particularly warm appearance and will naturally develop a patina over time, making each watch progressively more individual. The official Solar Aqua information identifies this reference as Deep Bay Bronze Burgundy, although some retailers describe the dial colour as brown.
Inside is the Peseux P224 automatic movement, modified specifically for Solar Aqua. The dial is protected by sapphire crystal with a magnifying lens over the date at 3 o’clock. Super-LumiNova is applied to the hands and indexes for improved readability in low-light conditions. The watch also features a helium escape valve, magnetic resistance, a screw-down bronze crown and a screw-locked stainless steel case back.
