This pen is a very interesting vintage piece. It is a Montblanc Carrera from the 1970s.

The Carrera line was designed by Montblanc with an aesthetic inspired by the world of sports car racing (hence the iconic holes in the clip, which imitate the spokes of racing steering wheels of the era, and the yellow and black colors).

The type of refill / Refill
Originally, this pen used a classic Montblanc ballpoint refill from the era. It should be noted that Montblanc refills from the 70s had a metal neck or dimensions slightly different from the current ones.

The current solution: The modern standard Montblanc Ballpoint Refill (Mistery Black, Pacific Blue, etc.) usually fits most versions of the Carrera line, as well as Monteverde brand spare parts.
Many collectors use Schneider Express 225 refills or standard Parker-type refills modified if the modern Montblanc fits too tightly.
