Montblanc Meisterstück 146 (LeGrand) fountain pen in black precious resin with gold details, a bi-colour 14K/18K nib, piston-filling mechanism, serial number IG1058615, produced in Germany from the Fine XX secolo period.
Description from the seller
We are presenting at auction a fascinating and highly sought-after Montblanc Meisterstück 146 (LeGrand) fountain pen, one of the German maison’s most iconic and valued models, ideal for both collection and everyday use.
The cigar-shaped, tapering body and the cap are crafted in the precious black resin, gleaming in a superb polished finish and complemented by elegant gold details, including the clip and the distinctive decorative rings. The two-tone 14K/18K gold nib is finely engraved with the brand details and the number 4810. The instrument features the traditional reliable piston-filling mechanism, accompanied by the classic transparent window with vertical stripes for monitoring ink level. The cap's summit is crowned by the unmistakable emblem of the white star.
The condition of this specimen is assessable as excellent in general, with full mechanical functionality and a splendid sheen. However, in strict compliance with our policy of complete transparency and as clearly documented in the close-up macro images, there are extremely light and natural micro-scratches, and in particular a more evident scratch located on the surface of the piston-end cap closure. Such details attest to the pen’s life experience without compromising its magnificent overall aesthetics.
