Description from the seller
Montblanc Mahatma Gandhi Limited Edition Fountain Pen 3000
Mahatma Gandhi was one of the most important political and spiritual figures in India and in its independence movement. With this limited edition, Montblanc honors his life and achievements, transforming the deepest symbols of his struggle into writing details.
The upper part of the cap and the cone draws inspiration from the spindle Gandhi used to spin cotton: a simple everyday tool that became one of the most powerful symbols of Indian independence. The white color recalls truth and peace, while the mandarin garnet evokes the orange of the Indian flag. On the nib, handmade, appears the image of the Mahatma walking with the help of his staff—a portrait that captures the quiet strength of his figure.
The limitation itself becomes a tribute: the 3,000 pens in the series symbolize the masses of people who followed Gandhi during his struggle for independence. Released in 2009, the edition is limited to 3,000 piston-filler fountain pens and 3,000 rollers.
Features

Clip: platinum-plated clip, engraved with the serial number
Body and cap: beige lacquer with a textile texture
Finishes: sterling silver 925
Nib: 18-karat rhodium-plated gold, handmade, medium size
