Entirely handmade in Murano, this necklace blends two great Venetian glass traditions, submerged gold and murrine, in a refined play of blue and gold.
At the center, a lamp-worked glass sphere is wrapped by a submerged sheet of gold, whose crackled pattern reveals the deep black of the underlying glass. The surface is studded with precious murrine: small red hearts on a cobalt blue background, white and blue flowers on a yellow-orange background, stars and colored petals. A layer of transparent crystal, with soft raised folds, encloses everything and enhances its luminosity. Two golden filigree cup-like elements frame it like an antique jewel.
On the sides, two rectangular cobalt blue glass pearls with submerged gold leaves echo the sphere’s colors: blue emerges as irregular patches on the gold, creating a bold, luxurious effect. Sparkling blue sapphire facets and tiny golden spacers complete the elegance.
