Visconti Taj Mahal limited edition fountain pen in burgundy resin with hand‑worked Vermeil filigree and a two‑tone 18K gold nib, serial 031/388, High Vacuum Power Filler, 145 mm long and 19 mm in diameter, new in box with complete factory packaging.
Description from the seller
Splendid fountain pen produced by the Italian company Visconti of Florence in a limited edition, 031/388. Body and cap Made in precious burgundy vegetable resin. Wrapped with vermeil filigree (sterling silver 925/1000 entirely gold-plated). The filigree is entirely handcrafted by Florentine master jewelers, echoing the geometric textures and the meticulous marble inlays that decorate the walls of the Taj Mahal. The cap design explicitly recalls the iconic domed silhouette of the famous Indian monument. The design is clipless (no clip) to maintain the continuity and geometric symmetry of the goldsmithing work. The cap has generous dimensions, almost half the length of the entire pen. Nib with “M” point, in solid white and yellow gold 18 kt (750) fully hand-engraved with care, engraved “Visconti 18 K 750 Firenze.” Filling System: High Vacuum Power Filler (Visconti patent with double reservoir/positive vacuum), operable by unscrewing the back end. It guarantees extraordinary ink capacity and security during travel. The collectible value of this lot is maximized by the presence of the factory complete set:
• Inner Box (Briarwood Box): A sumptuous box in burr wood with a perforated upper grid filigree that evokes the jali (the perforated marble screens inside the Taj Mahal).
• Outer box: In protective Visconti original rigid cardboard.
• Documents and Certificates:
• Historical descriptive booklet/booklet with the genesis of the piece and loading instructions.
• Visconti control certificate and plate, attesting the specific numbering of the piece out of a total of 333 pieces.
• Included Accessories: Travel case/pouch in soft black leather signed Visconti.
The pen is new, never used, with all original packaging and the splendid display box.
