Long before becoming an international superstar, Rod Stewart established himself as one of Britain’s most distinctive voices with this remarkable 1969 debut. Blending folk, blues and rock influences, the album captures Stewart in a raw and authentic setting, showcasing both his songwriting talent and unmistakable vocal style.
What makes this copy particularly desirable is its status as an early UK Vertigo Swirl pressing, one of the most sought-after label designs among collectors of progressive, blues and classic rock records. Original Vertigo Swirl releases are increasingly difficult to find in collectible condition and remain a cornerstone of many serious vinyl collections.
Musically, the album features superb interpretations alongside original material, offering a fascinating glimpse into the formative years of an artist who would go on to become one of rock’s biggest names. Tracks such as Street Fighting Man, Handbags and Gladrags and Dirty Old Town highlight the album’s enduring appeal and historical significance.
