This is a wall-hanging mask in the form of a Buddhist deity's face, cast in iron. The serene face has downcast, closed eyes and elongated earlobes. A stylised topknot rises above the head. The front has a smooth, dark brown bronze-toned patina with soft highlights that emphasise the calm expression. The hollow back has a mottled black, grey and blue finish. A brown braided cord is threaded through two holes at the sides for hanging. A small rectangular gilt-coloured mark is stamped near the chin on the reverse.
