Description from the seller

Harley Benton guitar model CST-24 crafted by a contemporary artist and musician (biography attached). Starting from an original kit, the guitar was completely assembled and hand-inlaid, making it a unique piece, customized and perfectly functional. The instrument consists of a body in okoumé, a maple neck, and an alder fingerboard (the logo was also hand-inlaid on the headstock) and it has been treated with neutral wax to enhance the natural color of the wood (and to protect it). The pickups: 2 humbuckers, 3-way selector, wrap-around bridge and Die-Cast tuners, 24 frets. It will be supplied with strings, a jack cable, and original wrenches, setup has been performed, it will be carefully packaged and shipped by courier.

Biography

Andrea Oliva was born in Milan on 15/02/1973. He attended the classical high school, then decided to follow his instinct, left the gymnasium and enrolled at the Caravaggio Art High School where he graduated in 1992 and subsequently at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He plays in several musical groups, drums and guitar, and concurrently attends the studios of already established artists, beginning a long period of collaboration with some of them, from which he learns the specific techniques of sculpture. He also worked for a period at the historic plaster workshop "Fumagalli e Dossi". He begins a steady series of personal exhibitions; the first in 1994, and participates in collective shows, sculpture symposia, and competitions; he becomes an artist member of the Permanente Museum in Milan. He also dedicates himself to painting and to writing poems, some of which have been published in specialist journals.

He creates on commission plaques for the "doctorate in chemical sciences and in industrial chemistry" for the University of Milan in 2004 and for the University of Insubria (Varese–Como) in 2005.

He has created several public monuments; one of the most important is a sepulchral monument located in Milan’s Main Cemetery.
