Exceptional vintage music box with cigarette dispenser, made in Japan in the 1960s and today admired for its rare, fanciful design. This fascinating mechanical object features two finely detailed peacocks on its doors, with a frame enriched by several precious materials, including gold-plated metal elements.
By pulling the side lever, the doors open and the music begins, all through a completely manual mechanism. The interior reveals the cigarette compartment, designed with the remarkable artisanal craftsmanship typical of mid-century Japanese automata.
Marked with the inscription "Windmill" and patent number 34710 (see photo), the piece is perfectly functional and in excellent condition, making it a highly sought-after collectible for lovers of music boxes, mechanical curiosities, or vintage tobacco-related objects.
