Maita is proud to present an exclusive collection of pens inspired by the great philosophers, in particular Anaximenes, one of the most influential pre-Socratic philosophers, representing a blend of art and philosophy. Anaximenes, known for his theories about air as the fundamental principle of everything, is the inspiration behind this exclusive line of pens.
This series, limited to only 199 pieces, is made in precious Italian brown resin and silver; the pen design features a clip reproducing one of the universal symbols of philosophy. The ring on the cap – in silver – is engraved with Anaximenes’ profile on the front and the motto: "Like our soul, which is air, sustains us, so the breath and the air surround the whole world" on the back, reflecting his vision.
At the top of the cap is inlaid a coin depicting an owl, symbol of philosophy, considered so by Hegel in the nineteenth century.
