Description from the seller
Collection of Pens dedicated to Socrates
Maita is proud to present an exclusive collection of pens inspired by the great philosophers, in particular Socrates, a fundamental figure of Western philosophy and the father of critical thinking. This series, limited to only 100 pieces, celebrates his dialogical approach, his maieutic method, and his commitment to truth.
Crafted in precious Italian burgundy-spotted resin with silver accents, the pen design features a clip that reproduces one of the universal symbols of philosophy. The cap ring — in silver — is engraved with Socrates' portrait on the front and the motto: "Only the wise know that they know nothing; not the one who imagines he knows and thus ignores his very own ignorance" on the back.
At the top of the cap is set a coin depicting an owl, a symbol of philosophy and wisdom, considered such by Hegel in the nineteenth century.
This collection is not only a tribute to Socrates, but also a recognition of his legacy in philosophical thought. Each pen is a perfect balance of elegance and meaning, ideal for those who wish to honor the pursuit of truth and the value of dialogue in daily life.
