Alphonse Mucha was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist who mainly worked in Paris, France.

For financial reasons, Mucha began designing posters and eventually established himself as a poster designer known for his distinctive stylized and decorative designs. Mucha made this poster of a woman in a green-orange, ornate outfit for Moët & Chandon, a French house of wine founded in 1743 by Claude Moët.
