Description from the seller
RARE Stanwell Pipe "Pipe of the Year" 1982 – Original Vintage Danish Limited Edition with Silver Plaquette – Condition
For sale an exceptionally valuable piece of history and collectible: an original Stanwell "Pipe of the Year" pipe from the year 1982, entirely designed and produced in Denmark (historic Borup manufactory). It is a unique and very special model, highly sought after by enthusiasts for its finishes and its perfect original-condition preservation, never restored.
Unique Features and Precious Details
* Sterling Silver Plaquette: On the side of the briar stem is set the original native-silver rectangular plaque, beautifully engraved with the factory mark "Stanwell 1982", a distinctive symbol of the prestigious brand's annual editions.
* Stamping on the bottom of the bowl/stem: On the back of the briar is present a deep, clear, and perfectly legible engraving "STANWELL - MADE IN DENMARK". This inscription certifies production before the factory was moved abroad, significantly increasing its commercial and historical value.
* Briar Finish: Stunning rustic/sandblasted dark finish with a very tactile, highly textured feel, alternated with warm reddish flashes at the bottom of the head that highlight its uniqueness.
* Original Bit: Straight, high-quality black ebonite/vulcanite, bearing the famous stamp with the crowned "S" symbol of Stanwell excellence.
Technical Specifications and Geometric Measurements
The measurements reported are identical to the original cataloged models for this specific straight-billiard medium-size line:
* Overall Length: 136 mm

* Internal Chamber Diameter (Drill): 19 mm
* Chamber Depth: 39 mm
