Rolling Stones – Sticky Fingers (US/Japan), MFSL 1-060, a 1981 Mobile Fidelity Original Master Recording half-speed mastered by Stan Ricker, pressed in Japan by JVC on High Definition Super Vinyl, with a United States jacket; sleeve VG+, vinyl NM.
Description from the seller
A classic example of the 1981 Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Original Master Recording edition of Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones (MFSL 1-060), one of the distinguished early US/Japan co-productions from this celebrated audiophile label. This pressing represents a landmark achievement in Mobile Fidelity's mission to provide discerning collectors with an alternative to standard commercial releases. The source material is the original stereo master tape, mastered at half speed by Stan Ricker at Original Masteringworks using the Ortofon cutting system—a precision technique that allows greater accuracy in groove geometry. The pressing itself was executed in Japan by the Victor Company of Japan (JVC) on Mobile Fidelity's High Definition Super Vinyl, while the jacket was printed in the United States, making this a notable hybrid production of early MFSL craftsmanship. Originally released in 1971 and produced by Jimmy Miller, Sticky Fingers stands as one of the defining Rolling Stones albums, marking the beginning of the classic tongue-logo era and containing an exceptional run of material including "Brown Sugar," "Sway," "Wild Horses," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Bitch," "Sister Morphine," "Dead Flowers" and "Moonlight Mile."
⸻
Sleeve (VG+):
The jacket remains a solid and very presentable VG+ example, showing only normal light signs of age and storage with no major distracting damage to the overall presentation.
Vinyl (NM):
The vinyl appears completely unplayed and retains a beautiful deep original gloss with virtually no evidence of previous use. Conservatively graded Near Mint and visually a top example of preservation.
