About the Artwork & Rarity:
This beautiful color lithograph is a quintessential example of Leonor Fini's iconic surrealist portraits. Characterized by her signature dreamlike and ethereal atmosphere, the artwork features a delicate female face emerging from rich, fluid textures and muted earthy tones.
While the standard commercial run of this edition was numbered (such as the 82/150 or 275 series), this specific print is a highly exclusive Artist's Proof (E.A.). Printed ahead of the main edition for the artist's personal approval, E.A. examples are produced in very restricted quantities, making this piece significantly scarcer and highly desirable for collectors of 20th-century avant-garde and surrealist art.
The lithograph is in very good condition. The colors and ink contrast remain strong and well-preserved. Both the pencil signature and the "E.A." justification are perfectly clear, crisp, and fully legible. Full margins are present, keeping the original dimensions of 62 x 48 cm.
