Description from the seller

New catalogs in perfect condition.
They concern the Stibbert Museum.

1°
The volume of the famous work "Abiti e fogge civili e militari dal I al XVIII secolo", a monumental collection of historical drawings created by collector and artist Federigo Stibbert.

The work illustrates in detail the evolution of civil clothing, accessories and armor/military uniforms from the Roman era up to the eighteenth century. It contains over 200 plates illustrated out of the text.
The blue cloth binding with gold impresses on the front board corresponds to the 1975 anastatic reprint, published by the Federation of Savings Banks of Tuscany (originally edited at the beginning of the twentieth century by the Stibbert Museum with a foreword by Alfredo Lensi).
This kind of volumes, given the large format and the quality of the plates, enjoys strong interest both among art and costume history book collectors and in the antique market.

2°
Catalog of the most beautiful armor, helmets and accessories of the Stibbert Museum’s Japanese collection.

• Author: Robert Burawoy

• Title: Armures du Japon – 100 pièces

• Publisher: ToriiLinks Éditions
Pages: 143
