Palmieri Giuseppe (1721-1793), Critical reflections on the art of war by Giuseppe Palmieri, Marquis of Martignano, etc., edition two (and last), vol. I [- II], Naples, printed by Angelo Trani, 1816, 2 volumes in 4°, 30.5 x 23 cm, pp. VIII, 371, [1]; VIII, 366, [2], with an engraved portrait in the frontispiece and two other full-page plates (one geometric and one military), in untrimmed bindings, contemporary binding in blueish marbled stiff boards.
Internally, foxing and some browning; sewing opened at the rear endpaper of Volume I; first leaves of Volume I with restoration at the page corner due to ancient changes of ownership and occasional losses (non-text white margins) at the edges of some pages; bindings very worn at edges and corners.
