AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

SUISEKI SETAGAWA TOYAMA-ISHI

Very beautiful river stone Setagawa (Lake Biwa),
« In the silence of the ancient mountains a ridge rises, then fades in the mist »
The stone evokes a distant chain, where the peaks follow one another like frozen waves, shaped by time and the waters of Lake Biwa. The relief is soft, almost worn by the seasons, as if autumn winds and summer rains had patiently polished these miniature mountains.
The gaze follows the line of the ridges:
from a solid summit on the right, it descends toward quieter hills, before fading into a calm valley.
Thus, in the simplicity of this Setagawa-ishi, a ancient landscape is revealed: a solitary mountain dominating a peaceful world, where the spirit can wander freely. It is rare to find a stone with such balance; the dark kiribako that was made more than 60 years ago testifies to the very great age of this suiseki.
Sold with its daiza and its Kiribako without the presentation table
