AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

DON QUIJOTE AND THE TREE OF ETERNITY

There are dreams that time cannot destroy.

Under a silent moon, Don Quixote continues on his way. Before him, the windmills wait like giants from an imaginary world.

In the center, a golden tree Unites earth with the infinite. Its roots guard memories and its branches embrace dreams that never die.

Because as long as there is someone willing to fight for the impossible, Don Quixote will keep riding.

Miroslav Spadrna (Pintorcheco)

Contemporary Czech artist based in Spain

Miroslav Spadrna, known artistically as Pintorcheco, was born in 1968 in the Czech Republic and currently develops his artistic activity in Almería, Spain.

His artistic career spans several decades. From his early exhibitions in old Czechoslovakia and later in Spain, his painting has undergone a deep transformation from a more commercially oriented figuration to a personal language situated between abstraction and figuration.

He works mainly with acrylic on canvas, building surfaces through layers, transparencies, impastos, spatula, incisions and spontaneous gestures. Matter, color and light are the essential elements of his language.

Deep blues, indigos and turquoises dialogue with yellows, magentas, reds and golden sparks. From these surfaces emerge fragmented architectures, submerged cities, portals, vessels, human figures, trees and constellations that seem to lie between reality, memory and dream.

His recent research is articulated in series such as Indigo Portals, Submerged Structures, Geography of Blue, Hidden Thresholds and the Flute of Silence, in which he develops recurring themes such as memory, silence, journey, transformation and the search for light.

Throughout his career, Spadrna has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and other European countries. Among his solo shows are Krkonošské pohoří in the Czech Republic (1990), the exhibitions Mis Colores in El Ejido, Spain (1993–1995), and his participation in the International Exhibition Museo MundoArti in Valencia in 2024.

His recent international trajectory includes projects and exhibitions in Milan, Paris, Venice, Málaga, Barcelona and Almería, in addition to successive participation in Berja Arte and exhibitions linked to Almería Cathedral.

Among his recognitions are the European Artist Award, Milan 2023, the European Artist Award, Florence 2025, and his appointment as Art and Painting Coordinator of the Czech Republic in 2021. His career also includes an artistic residency in Garachico, Tenerife, in 1997 and recognitions in international contemporary art competitions.

His work currently circulates through platforms and international markets specialized in contemporary art and has been part of private collections. His production continues to evolve from Spain, deepening a painting where matter, memory, emotion and light build spaces of strong sensory intensity.

For Spadrna, the painting is not a closed image, but a territory of experience. The painting does not seek to explain it all: it invites the viewer to pass through the surface and build their own relationship with what remains between the visible and the unknown.

In 2027, EvolucionArts Art Center will present a solo exhibition dedicated to his work, bringing together a selection of 25 representative works from different moments of his production."
