Description from the seller
We present at auction an authentic icon of luxury and writing: the Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen, the house's flagship model, universally renowned for its generous size, its imposing presence, and its timeless design.
The cigar-shaped body and cap are made of premium glossy black resin, enhanced by an elegant contrast with gold-plated finishes, including the clip and the three decorative rings at the base of the cap. At the center of this extraordinary writing instrument lies the imposing two-tone gold nib, finely engraved with traditional embellishments and the number 4810. The pen features the classic, reliable piston filling mechanism, accompanied by the characteristic vertical-striped transparent ink window for monitoring the ink level. The cap top is crowned by the unmistakable emblem of the white star.
The condition of this exemplar is classified as in excellent overall condition, maintaining a splendid luster and full mechanical functionality. In strict compliance with our policy of total transparency and as clearly documented in the detailed photographic gallery, only very light and entirely normal micro-scratches on the resin and gold parts are reported, resulting from careful prior use that in no way compromises the magnificent aesthetics of the object.
