Description from the seller

### Set of 6 vintage brass and copper lighters – Poilu-style – Military shell dated 1918 – Vintage collection

Interesting set of six antique collectible lighters, displaying a large variety of shapes, ignition systems and decorations.

These pieces evoke smoking accessories and artisan craftsmanship from the first half of the 20th century, notably the so‑called “Poilu” lighters and trench artisanry.

The lot includes :

**1. Boot-shaped lighter** (COMPLETE)

Original lighter in yellow metal, probably brass, recreating the silhouette of an old boot.
It features a worked shape, a ratchet ignition system and several decorative details.

**2. Round lighter with an aviation motif** (COMPLETE)

Antique circular lighter, with on its front a relief motif evoking a propeller.
Its golden-colored metal body gives it a handsome vintage presentation.

**3. Old copper lighter** (COMPLETE)

Flat-tank copper model, with a detachable ignition system.
It shows a natural copper patina, characteristic of old objects that have weathered decades.

**4. Small pocket model in a rectangular flask shape** (COMPLETE)

Rectangular metal lighter with rounded corners, featuring an engraved decoration on the front.
It has a screw cap attached to the body by a small chain, a detail typical of many old smoking accessories.

**5. Lighter made from an old military shell** (COMPLETE)

Particularly interesting piece, elongated in shape, made from a metal shell transformed into a lighter.
The base bears the markings “P – 18 – T67,” probably corresponding to a German shell from 1918.
This transformation evokes utilitarian objects made from recovered military materials.

**6. Cylindrical lighter with a crown motif** (COMPLETE)

Antique brass lighter with a cylindrical body and a cap adorned with a raised crown.
Its ratchet ignition mechanism and its elegant decoration give it a distinctive character.

**Condition and conservation:**

The six lighters are complete, with all parts and components present, including the detachable elements photographed separately.
They are well preserved for their age and show an authentic patina.
There are scratches, oxidation traces, small signs of use and variations in metal tone, consistent with their age.
The mechanisms have not been tested with fuel.
The set is offered in its current state, with all elements visible in the photographs.
A varied and original collection, particularly interesting for enthusiasts of antique lighters, trench craftsmanship, military history and early 20th-century smoking objects.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
The detachable mechanical elements are present and photographed separately.

The lighters have been stored without fuel and without a flint, to limit deterioration risks during storage. Plan to install a flint and fill before any use.
