Description from the seller
### Lot of 2 MYON Lighters – 401 Géant & Luxia with base – France – Art Deco – 1930s-1940s
Beautiful set of two antique petrol lighters from the French brand MYON, dating likely to the 1930s-1940s.
These two models testify to the elegance of French smoker accessories from the Art Deco period, with their geometric lines and carefully crafted metal decorations.
**1. MYON 401 Géant** (COMPLETE)
Large metal desktop lighter with a silver finish, featuring an elegant geometric engraved design.
Its rectangular body is adorned with linear motifs characteristic of the Art Deco style.
The underside bears the original mark “MYON 401 GÉANT – Bté S.G.D.G.”.
Its large size and finishes make it a particularly decorative piece.
**2. MYON Luxia with its base** (COMPLETE)
MYON Luxia petrol lighter, accompanied by its removable metal base.
The lighter features a geometric engraved design, while its stand consists of a rectangular base with stepped metal elements, typical of Art Deco aesthetics.
The lighter bears the mark “MYON LUXIA – Bté S.G.D.G.”.
The base is stamped “SOCLE MYON – MODÈLE DÉPOSÉ”.
The lighter can be removed from its stand, allowing independent display.
**Condition and conservation:**
Both lighters are complete, with all their elements and components present, including removable parts visible in the photographs.
They are well preserved considering their age, with a beautiful patina and some signs of use: superficial scratches, light oxidation marks and natural metal wear.
The geometric decorations remain clearly visible.
Not tested for operation with fuel.
A beautiful collecting set bringing together two MYON French models with different characteristics, representative of the Art Deco period aesthetics and craftsmanship.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
The removable mechanical elements are present and photographed separately
The lighters have been kept without gasoline and without a flint, to limit degradation risks during storage. Plan to install a flint and fill before any use.
