Parker Grain d’Orge fountain pen, French-made with a 14K gold nib, silver-plated finish, 13 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, dating to the second half of the 20th century and in excellent working order.
Description from the seller
The Parker 75 Grain d’Orge is one of the most attractive French-made interpretations of Parker’s celebrated 75 series. Its name, meaning “barleycorn” in French, refers to the finely textured guilloché pattern covering the cap and barrel, which gives the metal surface a rich, shimmering appearance while retaining the clean proportions of the classic Parker 75 design. Produced in France as part of Parker’s more luxurious metal-finish range, the Grain d’Orge combines this distinctive decorative treatment with the model’s characteristic black gripping section, cartridge/converter filling system and precision-made gold nib. Early examples were produced with silver-plated finishes, while later versions can also be found with rhodium plating. With its elegant French guilloché work and iconic Parker 75 construction, the Grain d’Orge is particularly appealing to collectors looking for a more distinctive alternative to the better-known Cicelé.
This pen is French-made and has a 14K gold nib. It is in very good, pre-owned condition and has been carefully cleaned. Imperfections: light stains, slight oxidation.
