Description from the seller
Offered without reserve price:
The 1989 Honda CBX 750 F2 is a characterful Japanese sport-touring motorcycle, known for its powerful four-cylinder engine, reliable technology, and comfortable riding characteristics. The CBX 750 was developed by Honda as a versatile motorcycle that combines sporty performance with the comfort of a touring bike. This is an original Netherlands-delivered specimen, originating from the second owner, who has possessed the motorcycle since 1999.
The CBX 750 F2 is powered by an air-cooled 747 cc inline-four engine with sixteen valves and double overhead camshafts. The engine delivers around 91 hp and is known for its smooth power delivery, strong performance, and distinctive four-cylinder sound. Thanks to the six-speed transmission and the broad usable rev range, the CBX 750 offers a pleasant combination of sportiness and comfortable riding.
The undercarriage is geared toward stability and sporty handling. The Honda features a sturdy steel frame, a Pro-Link rear suspension, and dual front disc brakes. The combination of stable handling, comfortable riding position, and powerful engine makes the CBX 750 F2 suitable for both winding inner-city roads and longer tours.
The CBX 750 F2 stands out from the standard CBX 750 F mainly due to the full streamlining fairing, which provides significantly more protection against wind and weather. While the standard CBX 750 F has a smaller, sportier fairing, the F2 features a further-continuous fairing that also partially surrounds the engine. This gives the F2 a more luxurious sport-tour aesthetic and offers more comfort during long rides. The distinctive design with an integrated headlight and the characteristic eighties lines make the model instantly recognizable.
Today, the Honda CBX 750 F2 is a special classic that is offered less and less often. Especially the fully fairing F2 version is interesting for fans of Japanese sport-touring motorcycles from the eighties. What makes this specimen extra special is the demonstrably long ownership history. The bike is originally Netherlands-delivered and comes from the second owner, who has had it in possession for a remarkable 27 years since 1999. This special provenance makes the Honda particularly attractive to enthusiasts and collectors who value originality and history.
Condition:
The Honda CBX 750 F2 is ready to restart. The motorcycle has stood for a while and the maintenance history of the bike is not known. The bike has briefly run on brake cleaner; the carburetors and tank will need to be cleaned. Signs of use and oxidation; please examine the photos carefully.
Paintwork is in nice, original condition for its age. The fairing has some damage or small cracks here and there, but is generally in tidy condition. Even the original 4-into-2 exhaust is still present and has not rotted through. A very nice base to restore to perfect condition.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
