Original vintage press photograph by Robert Capa (1913–1954), taken during his final assignment in French Indochina in 1954. The image shows French soldiers advancing through dense tropical jungle during a reconnaissance operation.

The reverse is particularly interesting, with several period markings: “PLEASE CREDIT ROBERT CAPA – MAGNUM”, “MAGNUM PHOTOS INC., 55 West 8th Street, New York 11, N.Y.”, a red LIFE Magazine – Reproduction Forbidden stamp, and a French military photographic service stamp. It is also handwritten “Reconnaissance de la forêt” and dated 1954.
