S.T. Dupont - Ligne 1 Small - Lighter - Gold-plated

A0000004630

The S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 Small lighter presents a generally good state of preservation, with signs of use more pronounced, adding character to the piece, while always maintaining its functionality and aesthetic presence.

The gold-plated finish with horizontal striped pattern retains its visual appeal, although evident wear is noticeable in the most exposed areas, especially on edges, corners, and upper rims, where the plating shows more notable losses. These areas show a smoothing of the relief and small marks typical of continued use, visible but consistent with the object's age.

On the main faces there are micro-scratches and slight irregularities in the gilding, without compromising overall uniformity. The “godron” engraving maintains good definition across most of the surface, though with some wear in points of higher friction.

A standout feature is the presence of a personalized engraving with initials on the upper lateral part, a detail to note as it affects collectible value compared to non-customized specimens.

The opening mechanism works correctly, with a firm and well-aligned cap. The ignition system responds effectively, generating a stable flame, which confirms that the piece has been checked and is operational.

At the base, the inscriptions “S.T. Dupont Paris” and “Made in France” are preserved, along with numbers, visible though softened by use.

Overall, it is an authentic lighter, functional and with a marked vintage aesthetic, ideal for both use and collection, with a patina of use that reflects its history.

It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding!
