Dom Pérignon Duo 2017 & 2018, a two‑bottle Brut Champagne gift set from the Champagne region, in 0.75 L bottles, containing vintages 2017 and 2018.
Description from the seller
Dom Perignon Giftbox Vintage 2017 & 2018.
This rare Dom Pérignon gift set brings together the 2017 and 2018 vintages, offering a chance to compare two distinctive expressions of the Champagne house’s prestige cuvée. It also marks a significant handover: 2017 was the final vintage overseen by cellar master Richard Geoffroy, while 2018 was the first under his successor, Vincent Chaperon.
Tasting Notes
The 2017 is intense and characterful, with ripe citrus and stone fruit layered with brioche, toasted nuts and smoky, mineral notes. Lively acidity gives the generous fruit definition and poise. It was rated 98 points by Antonio Galloni for Vinous.
Production
Both are vintage Champagnes from the Champagne region, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The set pairs a challenging 2017 harvest with the warmer, more generous 2018 vintage; detailed vineyard, harvesting and vinification information is not provided. Together, the bottles capture a notable transition in Dom Pérignon’s recent history.
Food & Serving
Enjoy the two vintages side by side with fine seafood, scallops, roast poultry or delicate dishes featuring mushrooms. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, and allow the wine a little time in the glass to open. Decanting is not essential, but a brief, gentle decant can help reveal the Champagne’s aromas.
Producer
Dom Pérignon is the prestige Champagne of Moët & Chandon, one of Champagne’s best-known houses, founded in 1743. The 2017 and 2018 bottles are especially notable as the final vintage under Richard Geoffroy, who shaped the cuvée for nearly three decades, and the first under Vincent Chaperon, his longtime collaborator and successor. The 2018 received 99 points from James Suckling.
