Bruyère Garantie XL – Custom “Oxblood Noir” Contrast Finish
An imposing XL briar pipe with a distinctive custom finish by The PipeLab. Its substantial bowl, long tapered black mouthpiece and silver-coloured accent ring give it an elegant, balanced appearance.
The briar has been refinished with a hand-applied black and oxblood contrast stain, highlighting its flowing grain and intricate birdseye patterns. Deep burgundy in subdued light, the finish reveals vivid ruby-red highlights in sunlight. Polished and waxed to a rich gloss.
Marked “Bruyère Garantie.” The manufacturer and production date have not been established, but it’s most likely France, ca. 1970-1980. The custom finish was applied during restoration and is not the original factory finish.
The removable condenser has been cleaned and is included. With the condenser fitted, the pipe draws normally; removing it produces a substantially more open draw.
Presented in restored estate condition, with minor signs of previous use. Please examine the photographs as part of the condition description.
