Description from the seller
Vatican Museums – Vatican Museums Collection – Imago Sapientiae – Gold and black ballpoint pen with original box and parchment
A refined collectible ballpoint pen belonging to the prestigious Vatican Museums Collection, a line of writing instruments dedicated to the artistic and cultural heritage of the Vatican Museums.
The body in gilt metal features elaborate intertwined geometric decorations on a black background, inspired by Renaissance ornamental art. The color contrast, the elegant gold finishes and the papal emblems with tiara and crossed keys give the pen an exclusive character that is immediately recognizable.
Particularly valuable is the magnificent original set, composed of a scenographic deep red case with coordinated interior and a gilded papal emblem.
Completing the presentation is a striking rolled parchment, wrapped with a golden ribbon and enhanced by a red seal, recalling the tradition of solemn Vatican documents.
The pen is presented in excellent condition with a perfectly functioning mechanism; for writing the refill needs replacement.
An elegant collectible, ideal for lovers of writing instruments, Renaissance art and papal history.
