The stainless steel case features a brushed finish with polished accents and retains its integrated lug design. It displays honest wear consistent with age and use, with moderate scratches and scuffs visible on the case flanks and lug areas. The black bezel insert features silver numerals and shows scratches and light wear, particularly around the 20 and 50 marks, while the outer steel rim exhibits handling marks and minor dings. The knurled crown displays light surface wear and features a clear Omega logo in relief. The flat crystal is clear, with no significant scratches or chips visible.
Movement
Powering the watch is a clean Omega caliber 1438 quartz movement, featuring six jewels. The movement displays engravings including "OMEGA," "1438," "SIX 6 JEWELS," and "SWISS V8." A battery is present, and the movement shows no visible corrosion or moisture damage.

History

Affectionately known by collectors as the "Pre-Bond" Seamaster, this standard production model bridged the gap between vintage tool watches and modern luxury sports pieces. Powered by the reliable 6-jewel quartz caliber 1438, the design is defined by its integrated case architecture and robust build. Adding a touch of cinematic interest, the reference 396.1062 was notably worn by the character Shuichi Hioka in the 2018 film Blood of Wolves.
