Lot 1: Rare Desktop Lighter in Miniature K.K.W. "Photo-Flash" with Box and Accessories - 1950s

Lot Title:
Rare Novelty K.K.W. "Photo-Flash" Camera-Shaped Desktop Lighter – With Original Box, Tripod, and Flexible Shutter – Japan, 1950s

Item Description:
A splendid and extremely rare desktop novelty lighter (collectible) in the shape of a miniature camera, model "Photo-Flash", produced in Japan in the 1950s by the renowned manufacturer K.K.W. (brand engraved on the metal base together with patent number PP 13449).
The piece stands out for its extraordinary build quality and precision of details: the chromed metal housing features black faux-leather inserts, a perfectly functioning miniature compass embedded on the front, and realistic numbered rings around the lens. There is a mechanical safety lever with OPEN / LOCK inscriptions to secure the mechanism.
This lot represents an absolute rarity for the collecting market as it is presented as a complete set (Full Set), including:
• Original rigid red-covered cardboard box with gold cursive inscriptions well preserved.
• Desktop tripod with three chromed metal legs, unscrews and folds away.
• Original flexible remote shutter cable, screwed onto the top to activate the mechanism remotely.

Operation:
The ignition system is gasoline-based (Zippo-type fluid). The front lens unscrews to allow refilling the liquid into the internal reservoir with cotton. Pressing the top button (or the flexible shutter) makes the chrome cover snap open, revealing the match striker and flint stone housing.

Aesthetic and structural conditions:
Lot in excellent/very good condition for its age (See detailed photo gallery). Bright, gleaming chrome; smooth, fluid shutter mechanism. Clean interior of the striker housing. The original box shows slight signs of age on the edges but is structurally intact. The item is sold unfilled for safety reasons in shipping. An exceptional piece for display or for collectors of tobacciana and mid-century modern collectibles.

Lot 2: Vintage Mid-Century Wood Set with Chrome Prince Lighter - 1960s/70s

Lot Title:
Vintage Mid-Century Modern Smoking Set – Desktop Lighter "Prince" and Coordinated Wooden Cigarette Holder – 1960s/70s

Item Description:
Elegant and essential desk or living room smoking set in full Mid-Century Modern style, dating from the period spanning the 1960s to the 1970s. The set comprises two coordinated elements carved from turned solid wood with a smooth warm brown finish, adorned with a series of three engraved geometric rings on the base.
The set includes:
1. Desktop lighter: Characterized by a spherical wood housing that interlocks with a shiny chrome metal gas insert. The insert is original to the era and bears the prestigious "PRINCE" brand on the ignition ring and the inscription "GAS" engraved on the button. The metal body is easily removable from the wooden base to allow gas refilling with butane and replacement of the flint via the valve on the underside.
2. Desktop cigarette holder: Coordinated hollow cylindrical container, ideal for loose cigarettes or small cigars, complete with its wooden snap-on cap with a domed top. The lower base is smooth and free of stamped marks.

Aesthetic and structural conditions:
The set is in excellent overall conservation condition. The wood retains a beautiful original glossy patina. Note a minor micro chipping on the protective varnish near the bottom edge of the cigarette holder (visible in the photos), a detail that does not compromise the overall aesthetics. The Prince chrome mechanism is clean and visually in excellent condition. The item will be shipped without gas for safety reasons related to transport. Perfect for enriching vintage design interiors or modernia collections. stone/rock replacement of the flint stone
