Description from the seller
A0000006626
Item: SET PLUMA ESTILOGRÁFICA Y PORTAMINAS SHEAFFER, black resin body polished with a cap gold-plated in longitudinal stripes, clip with the White Dot and two-tone nib
Length: 14.1 cm
Diameter: 1.05 cm
Nib: F
Pencil: 12.8 x 0.8 cm
Parts: 2
Period: 1950s-1960s
Materials: High-gloss black resin for the bodies of both instruments; cap, clip and securing ring gold-plated, with fine longitudinal striation on the cap; two-tone 14K (585) gold nib, stamped "SHEAFFER'S - MADE IN U.S.A. - 14K"; matching pencil with gold-plated cap, striped rear end cap and gold metal nib, twist mechanism.
Condition: Good preservation state, with signs of use. The black resin remains bright and without cracks or impacts. The cap plating looks fine, with light scuffs and micro-scratches visible against the light and a small wear spot near the clip start. The nib is straight, with the tines aligned and the inscriptions clear. The pencil shows wear of the gold plating on the front nib area where the base metal peeks through. The loading mechanism and lead mechanism have not been tested; they are supplied as-is, and in items of this age it is common to require a service by a professional.
Extras: Supplied in its original Sheaffer case, lined in purple satin with the inscription "SHEAFFER. the proud craftsmen", with wear from age. It is not a full set: no papers, certificate, or warranty card are visible in the photos.
The photographs are part of the description.
