Article: PARKER '51' DEMI fountain pen—with burgundy body, stainless steel Lustraloy cap, and arrow clip
Reference / Edition: '51' Vacumatic size Demi (burgundy body), Lustraloy cap with 'PARKER' imprint on the edge
Length: 12.05 cm
Diameter: 1.1 cm
Nib: F
Period: 1940s (Vacumatic version in Demi size, produced circa 1946-1948)
Materials: Nib/body and cap made of burgundy colored resin/lucite; exterior cap of brushed stainless steel (Lustraloy) with vertical line knurling and arrow clip no Blue Diamond; double metal retention ring between cap and barrel; hidden gold nib with visible tip; Vacumatic filling system, blind cap at the rear end of the barrel and factory imprint 'PARKER … MADE IN' on the barrel, today only partially legible.
Condition: Good overall condition for its age. The burgundy body retains a strong, even shine, with no bumps, cracks, or material loss; only micro-scratches visible against light and intact rear end. The steel cap shows wear typical of use: areas of dulled shine, fine scratches distributed across the surface, a slightly more pronounced mark near the clip, and a small dark spot on the edge of the crown; the 'PARKER' imprint on the lower edge is partially erased. The clip remains firm and bright, and the retention rings show light handling marks. The nib tip is straight and free of deformation. The filling mechanism does not appear to be functioning in the photos.
Accessories: Only the loose piece; no box or papers visible in the photos.
