Stanwell Pipe "Pipe of the Year 1988" – Limited Collector's Edition – Perfect
Up for sale a piece of the history of slow smoking from Denmark: the prestigious Stanwell "Pipe of the Year 1988", a highly collectible and sought-after annual limited edition by pipe enthusiasts worldwide.
This specific model was designed by the legendary Danish master craftsman Tom Eltang, characterized by clean, balanced, and extremely elegant lines. The pipe dates back to the brand's golden era, when production was entirely localized at the historic Borup facility in Denmark.
Key Features & Details:
* Year of production: 1988 (certified by the silver plaque).
* Markings: On the upper side of the shank there is the exclusive solid silver badge original with hallmark reading "Stanwell 1988" clearly legible. The mouthpiece bears the iconic crowned S logo, crisp and well preserved.
* Finish: A stunning deep dark sandblast with high contrast that magnificently highlights the ring grain (the natural pattern of the briar). The bowl rim is smooth and clean.
