Description from the seller

Beautiful and very varied collection of four vintage briar (bruyère) tobacco pipes. This carefully assembled set offers an interesting mix of classical French elegance from the famous Saint-Claude region, an innovative design- system pipe, and a robust sand-blasted model. An excellent total package for both the active smoker and the collector.
Note: The displayed transparent pipe stands/displays are only for photography illustration and are not part of the lot.
Lot specifications:
• Brands: Butz-Choquin (BC), Lindbergh, Royal & Bruyère Garantie.
• Origin: among others Saint-Claude, France (St. Claude, France) and Western Europe.
• Dating: circa 1970 – 1990.
• Material: First-class briar wood, vulcanite (ebonite) mouths and anodized metal (aluminum cooling system).

1. Butz-Choquin (BC) – Model 1306 (Bent model):
• A very elegant and smoothly bent bent-pipe with a warm, smooth golden-brown finish that beautifully showcases the natural wood grain.
• The mouthpiece features the well-known inlaid 'BC' mark.
• Sharp and deep factory stamp on the shaft: "ST CLAUDE FRANCE - 1306".
2. Lindbergh "Métallique" – Aluminum System Pipe (Falcon-style):
• An iconic and innovative system pipe with a detachable briar wood head resting on an aluminum frame with cooling ribs.
• The underside of the metal base is clearly marked with: "LINDBERGH - MÉTALLIQUE". This system provided an extra dry and cooled smoking experience at the time.
3. Royal – "Imported Briar" (Straight Billiard):
• A classic and exceptionally slender straight model with a deep, dark red smooth wood finish and a fine brass accent ring at the transition to the shank.
• Clearly stamped on the side of the wooden shank with: "ROYAL - IMPORTED BRIAR".
4. French 'Bruyère Garantie' (Straight model):
• Characterful and sturdy straight pipe with a deep, heavily sandblasted texture in rustic brown tones.
• Equipped with a smooth flat surface on the underside of the shank with the official quality stamp: "BRUYERE GARANTIE - MADE IN FRANCE".
