Armando Simoni Club - Portofino - No reserve price - Fountain pen

The pen is presented in excellent overall condition, showing a level of preservation that is very carefully maintained and appropriate for a well-kept collectible piece.

The yellow resin body looks bright and uniform, perfectly preserving its chromatic vividness without discoloration. No cracks, deformations, or structural damage are evident, only micro signs of very light use typical of careful handling, practically imperceptible to the naked eye.

The metal components, including the clip and decorative rings, maintain a clean and bright gold finish, with no significant loss of plating or oxidation, which reinforces the overall good conservation of the set.

The piston-filling system has been inspected and is operational and functional, ensuring correct and smooth use. The ink window appears clear, allowing proper visualization of the fill level.

The nib, with decorative engraving characteristic of the brand, is in very good condition, with no visible deformities or damages, offering proper writing after adjustment. The ebonite feed maintains its structural integrity.

Overall, this is a piece that has been well preserved, ready for immediate use or to form part of a collection.

Conservation recommendations

It is recommended to use quality inks specific for fountain pens, avoiding pigmented inks or those with high load. If not used for a prolonged period, it is advisable to clean the system with warm water, dry it completely before storing, and keep the piece in a dry place, away from direct light and extreme temperatures. Always operate the filling system gently to preserve its mechanism.

Good auction!
